![]() There are many things to see and do on the Algarve. ![]() ![]() The nearest beach is on Ihla de Tavira (Tavira Island) and can be reached via a short ferry journey. The beach is 11km long by 500m wide, has soft golden sand, is very child friendly and provides excellent swimming. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants on the island. ![]() ![]() The nearest Golf Course is Benamor just north east of Tavira. It has 18 holes Par 72, the length is 5,500m and you do need a recognised handicap certificate.There are many other courses in the Eastern Algarve including Quinta Da Ria and Quinta De Cima. All details are available at the Turismo (Tourist Office) in town. ![]() ![]() There are several water parks on the Algarve, all are towards the centre of the region. The closest ones include:- Aqualand, The Big One - Alcantarilha, west of Albufeira (biggest) Atlantic Park - Almancil Aqua Show - Quarteira (closest) ![]() ![]() Although a bit of a journey (about 2 hours) Seville is well worth a visit if you like to explore cities. To do it justice you need a couple of days but if you have the energy it is possible to see a fair share of it in one day! |
